Retain that Restaurant Customer

There are many choices for consumers today and businesses must continue to fight for their share of the customer’s mind share.

A mobile app is one way to increase that mind share. It provides a continuous reminder to the customer. When used effectively, it will increase the visits back to the business.

Let’s look at a restaurant as an example.

Jane and Bill try out a local restaurant and enjoy the food and the atmosphere. They are encouraged to load a new mobile app for this restaurant on their mobile phone. The restaurant logo appears on the home screen as a button for easy access.

A week later, a notice pops up on their phone announcing a meal special for this Friday night. They open the mobile app to check out the details. They review details about the music entertainment to expect this weekend while dining.

On their return visit that Friday, they find out that by showing the restaurant app on their phone to the waiter, they qualify for a free desert. They are also instructed on a new loyalty program where they simply scan a QR Code during the next five return visits to qualify for a free meal.

Over the next few weeks, they begin to share this mobile app with their friends through Facebook and emails. A family reunion is in the planning phase and they find details about catering services on this mobile app. An interesting blog talks about the various specialty dishes at the restaurant and they look forward to a future visit to try them out.

Jane and Bill find that they often return to this favorite restaurant because of the food, the atmosphere, and the mobile app. It has opened up a whole new perspective of this restaurant that they don’t find at other restaurants in the area.

Retain customers by staying connected through a mobile app.
